The ecological cotton produced in small areas by craftspeople and indigenous communities on the coast of Peru, tropical forests and Andes enables development programs to be set up for the benefit of rural communities and urban co-operatives. The selection of the quality of the grains enables the obtention of a natural cotton fibre of different colours, without harming the environment.
